By replacing a standard lead-acid battery with a JMT lithium-ion battery, you can save up to 5 kg of weight without significant effort. As well as a highly significant weight saving, LiFePO₄ batteries deliver full power until approximately 95% discharged, so will keep on delivering those first time starts without the loss of power experienced by lead acid batteries from about 80% of full charge.

They also have a very low self-discharge rate so if your bike stands idle for any length of time, your battery is much more likely to get things going again quickly. When discharged, lithium batteries can also be recharged more quickly than their traditional counterparts.
