Beltane Bullsh*t Bingo At: Local Farm, TBA
Thursday, 1st May 2025From: 9:00 am Until: 5:00 pm
This simple game could win you a few bob! It is simplicity itself; our friendly local farmer points us to a field, of which an aerial photo is taken. That photo is then divided into a hundred squares. Later on, a bull (or other bovine creature) is released into the field and its movements monitored.

The game is over when the bull empties his bowels onto the playing surface. The field is then re-photographed and overlaid with the grid. Whoever has 'bought' the square in which the bullsh*t lands, wins the prize. This is half the total entry revenue. The rest goes to the Air Ambulance Fund.

In the case of the deciding pile landing on the border between squares, the prize will be shared equally between the owners of all squares. This is not proportional, according to how much poo lands in which square, it is equal shares for all affected.

If we can find a volunteer to operate the camera, the event will be streamed to the showroom so that you can watch the action live as it happens.

Bemsee Motorcycle Race Meeting At: Snetterton 300, Norwich, Norfolk, NR16 2JU
Snetterton was built as an RAF airfield, designated for use by the 96th United States Air Force Bomber Group between May 1943 and November 1948. The circuit itself was created in 1951 from the network of remaining runways and its first race event was held in the same year by the Aston Martin Owner's Club.

The circuit configuration has changed several times during Snetterton's 60-year history. In the 1960s and early '70s it was 2.7 miles in length and a large section ran almost adjacent to the A11 road, before a sharp hairpin turn and a long run back to what are now the Brundle and Nelson corners.

During this period Russell Bend was added as the final corner of the track, in order to slow race vehicles as they approached the pits. Since the 1970s however, the lap was shortened considerably to just under two miles until 2010, when circuit owner MSV announced the greatest redevelopment in the venue's history to create a new multi-configuration layout, which was completed in February 2011.

Bemsee Motorcycle Race Meeting At: Donington Park GP, Castle Donington, Derby, Leicestershire DE74 2RP
Donington Park is the oldest UK motorsport circuit still in operation. The first racing took place in 1931 using the narrow roads that accessed the Donington Hall estate as it was then. In 1933, the track was made permanent and welcomed pre-war Grand Prix racing including the legendary Auto Union Silver Arrows driven by Bernd Rosemeyer and Tazio Nuvolari.

During World War II, the circuit was requisitioned by the Ministry of Defence to be used as a military vehicle depot. Racing didn’t return until 1977 after the land was purchased and the circuit rebuilt by businessman Tom Wheatcroft.

Quickly, Donington became one of Europe’s premier venues. 1985 brought the Melbourne loop extension and in 1987, the first Grand Prix motorcycle race. Eventually becoming MotoGP, Donington hosted the event until 2009. In 1988, the first ever World Superbike race was held at the circuit and the series still races there to this day.

Fondly nicknamed the 'mini-Nüautrburgring', Cadwell Park has a rich history and will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2024. Cadwell Park's twisty and undulating nature, winding through open park and woodland, has seen it become established as one of the best circuits in the country. Once discovered, it is often a firm favourite amongst many who visit, whether as a spectator or participant.

Aberdare Park Road Races At: Aberdare Park, Park Rd, Aberdare CF44
Generally, I prefer taking part to watching motorcycle racing, but Aberdare Park is one place where I will happily watch all day long. The atmosphere of this historic venue (the first place where live motorcycle racing was ever televised) is something to go and absorb.

Nowhere else on mainland Britain can you get so close to the action and feel so involved . There is also a 48 hour party for those so inclined and everywhere you look there is a sea of smiling faces.

The racing classes include something for everyone from jewel-like 50cc two strokes to superbikes and supermotos, even karts get to dice it out around this narrow, twisty track. This is a must-see for all bike race fans.
